What Is NMS and What Will It Completely Do for Our Country?

The National Multi-Sensory Skills Development Project is an original project aiming to develop an educational program that will lead to National Multi-sensory Skills (NMS) in India. This project was initiated by IIT Delhi, which has been involved in the development of NMS since 2005. To accomplish this aim, the team created an educational program to be used in NMS within IIT Delhi and launched it in November of 2011. NAFS is an open M3 (robotic) monitoring system for agriculture that uses satellite images and other data to create, analyze, and visualize Agropastoral information. It can also be utilized to map and provide details on the usage of different agroclimatic zones for agriculture production. It could be of great advantage to farmers living in the region concerning relief from drought, land redistribution, and farm infrastructure development.

The introduction of FNS is anticipated to be integrated with other projects and the preparation for the next survey. The Department of Agriculture (DA), with their Agroforestry and Plantation Development Unit (AVDP), has conducted surveys of farmers in the area for the last two years.

The DA refers to the project as”the “Graves and Porto” to refer to the region where the project was carried out.
On February 12, 2016, DA Agricultural Development Officer (DAOD) (or Mr) Nairn announced the survey’s positive results, noting that he had been to Graves and Porto each month.
